<\/a>Principes et applications du permanganate<\/h2>\n

L'indice de permanganate correspond \u00e0 l'oxydation de certaines substances r\u00e9ductrices organiques et inorganiques pr\u00e9sentes dans des \u00e9chantillons d'eau par le permanganate de potassium dans des conditions donn\u00e9es, ainsi qu'au calcul de la masse d'oxyg\u00e8ne \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 partir de la quantit\u00e9 de permanganate de potassium consomm\u00e9e. Il s'agit d'un indice complet d'\u00e9valuation de la qualit\u00e9 de l'eau qui refl\u00e8te le degr\u00e9 de pollution par les compos\u00e9s organiques et inorganiques oxyd\u00e9s pr\u00e9sents dans l'eau.<\/p>\n

Principe de fonctionnement : l'\u00e9chantillon d'eau est m\u00e9lang\u00e9 \u00e0 un exc\u00e8s de permanganate acide, acidifi\u00e9 avec de l'acide sulfurique concentr\u00e9, puis r\u00e9duit en permanganate \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature et sous haute pression, ce qui entra\u00eene un changement de couleur de la solution m\u00e9lang\u00e9e ; l'intensit\u00e9 de ce changement de couleur correspond \u00e0 l'indice de permanganate pr\u00e9sent dans l'\u00e9chantillon d'eau. L'indice de permanganate pr\u00e9sent dans l'\u00e9chantillon d'eau est calcul\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de la mesure de la solution m\u00e9lang\u00e9e.<\/p>\n
