Principle and Application of Total Cadmium Analyzer

Cadmium pollution in water mainly comes from surface runoff and industrial wastewater. Though Cadmium is a metal with low toxicity, its compounds are highly toxic. Normally Cadmium poisoning in human body is mainly caused by ingestion of cadmium-contaminated water, food and air through digestive tract and respiratory tract. In the human body mainly accumulated in the liver, kidney and bone, causing organ lesions, and affect the normal activities of people.

Principle: in the borate buffer solution, add masking agent to mask the interference of other ions, cadmium ion and cadmium reagent to produce a stable orange complex, the complex absorbance is proportional to the cadmium content in the water sample, the content of cadmium in water was calculated by measuring the absorbance of the complex.

It is suitable for laboratory Analyzer or industrial production process water, sewage, urban domestic sewage, river, lake, sea and other surface water testing.
