Principle and Application of Total Iron Analyzer
Iron and its compounds are low toxicity and micro-toxicity, high iron content of water often with yellow, iron smell, on the appearance of water has an impact. The main sources of iron pollution in water are mineral processing, smelting, iron smelting, mechanical processing, industrial electroplating, acid washing wastewater and so on.
Principle: iron in water sample is digested into iron ion by digestion solution, high-valent iron ion
is converted into ferrous ion by adding reductant, and stable orange-red complex is formed between ferrous ion and o-phenanthroline in acid medium, the iron content in the water sample can be calculated.
The main application scenarios are the monitoring of enterprise rainwater and sewage, the monitoring of total copper content in municipal pipe network, pumping station, groundwater, river water, lake water and sea water.
