KUS550 1 Meter Distance Ultrasonic Label Sensor Intelligent

KUS550 1 Meter Distance Ultrasonic Label Sensor Intelligent Industrial. An optical sensor has a transmitter and receiver, whereas an ultrasonic sensor uses a single ultrasonic element for both emission and reception.

In a reflective model ultrasonic sensor, a single oscillator emits and receives ultrasonic waves alternately. This enables miniaturization of the sensor head.

Distance calculation

The distance can be calculated with the following formula:

Distance L = 1/2 × T × C

where L is the distance, T is the time between the emission and reception, and C is the sonic speed. (The value is multiplied by 1/2 because T is the time for go-and-return distance.)

Features

The following list shows typical characteristics enabled by the detection system.

[Transparent object detectable]

Since ultrasonic waves can reflect off a glass or liquid surface and return to the sensor head, even transparent targets can be detected.

[Resistant to mist and dirt]

Detection is not affected by accumulation of dust or dirt.

[Complex shaped objects detectable]

Presence detection is stable even for targets such as mesh trays or springs.

Description of installation requirements

1> Select the range
If you measure liquid, you can choose according to the standard range.
If it is to measure solids (please consult the technical personnel of the manufacturer in advance), the measurement range needs to be increased by at least 3 times. If it is a soft object (such as flour, cotton, sponge), it will not be used. If the measuring liquid has large bubbles covering the surface, the range should also be increased. If the thickness of the bubbles exceeds 2cm, it will not be recommended.
2> The choice of probe material mainly depends on whether the environment is corrosive
Ordinary probes can be used in general weak acid and weak alkali environments, and anti-corrosion probes should be used in highly corrosive environments. In the case of strong acid and alkali, we have to consider whether it will form fog, and in the case of fog, it is necessary to increase the range of use.
Please note that try to make the axis of the probe perpendicular to the surface of the medium, and avoid any devices within the beam angle, such as pipes and brackets.
