KDF1500 Series Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Velocity Meter
Introduction
The Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Velocity Meter measures based on the Doppler effect. The probe emits a beam of ultrasonic waves at an upward or forward angle. When ultrasonic waves propagate through the fluid, the fluid contains bubbles, particles, or other impurities (which can be considered to move at the same velocity as the fluid). When the ultrasonic waves encounter these impurities, the reflected waves generate a Doppler frequency shift Δf, which is proportional to the flow velocity. By measuring the Doppler frequency shift Δf, the flow velocity of the fluid can be determined.
Features
- Wide Input Voltage: 10VDC – 30VDC
- Compact Size: Self-emitting and self-receiving design significantly reduces structural dimensions; capable of measuring at low water levels
- Wide Applicability: Two tilt angles selectable, suitable for more field applications
- Two Depth Measurement Methods: Pressure-based depth measurement and backup ultrasonic depth measurement
- Signal Strength Indicator: Can identify conditions such as sediment accumulation, low water, or material adhesion
- Instantaneous Flow Calculation: Supports calculation for circular, rectangular, trapezoidal, and irregular channels
- High Resolution: Flow velocity resolution 1 mm/s
